With Semaskop you can ?look up? in a corpus and find out how words and phrases are used in the language. Semaskop has been developed by DSL and can be downloaded free of charge.
Semaskop is only functional along with the specially designed Semaskop corpora that are downloadable from our website. When you download Semaskop, a small corpus automatically comes with it, the PAROLE Corpus of 250,000 words.
Before downloading Semaskop you must register as a user of DSL?s language resources.
The development of Semaskop is on-going, and you are most welcome to send us your opinions and comments at korpus2000@dsl.dk. In order for us to make Semaskop as efficient as possible it is a great help if you include with your comments a concrete example of what you would want to investigate in the corpus, and why you are unable to execute that particular investigation with the existing system.
Important: Before downloading the system, please read the system requirements, and you may also want to familiarize yourself with the Semaskop instructions (regrettably, available in Danish only).
